Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Messtro mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”), provided by Mahdi Saifullah Srizan (operating as Bitflecks) (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Messtro is a record-keeping tool that helps a shared household or hostel (a “mess”) track meals, bills, deposits, expenses, and member balances. It helps you organize and calculate shared costs — it is not a bank, payment processor, accounting service, or provider of financial or legal advice.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping it secure. You must provide accurate information. The Service is available to users aged 13 and older; if you are between 13 and 17, you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of your use of the Service and agrees to these Terms on your behalf. A mess manager is responsible for managing members and records within their mess.

3. Your content & responsibility

You and your mess are solely responsible for the data you enter and for the accuracy of your own calculations and settlements. Balances shown by the Service are only as correct as the information entered. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, any dispute or settlement of money between members of a mess. You must not use the Service for unlawful purposes, to infringe others' rights, or to upload others' personal data without a proper basis.

4. Premium & payments

Some features are offered as a paid “Premium” plan. Prices and payment methods are shown at the point of purchase. When you buy Premium through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, that purchase is billed and processed by Google or Apple under their own terms, and their payment, cancellation, and refund policies apply to it in addition to this section. Payments are verified before Premium is applied to your mess; a plan stays active for the period you paid for. Except where required by law (or by Google's/Apple's own refund policy for a store purchase), payments are non-refundable — if something goes wrong with a payment, contact us and we'll help resolve it. We may change prices or plan features on a prospective basis.

5. Availability & changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, and we may set limits such as how long detailed records are retained by plan. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of calculations. You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mahdi Saifullah Srizan (operating as Bitflecks) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from disputes between mess members or from reliance on figures produced by the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and can leave or delete a mess in the app (see our account deletion page). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms others or the Service.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
